Bucking the Trend
Good Pool Industry News in Tough Times
Scottsdale, Arizona, July 2009 - In the midst of a global economic contraction that has created waves of failures and slowdowns in the pool & spa industry, there are some bright spots. One is the continued success of the AquaGuardian Insurance Programs - now celebrating six successful years of service to the industry. The Company announced that it now has 105 program participants, a 30% increase in the last year and that this June it returned a total of $870,000 in Safe Rewards™ (return of excess premiums) to qualified participants, bringing total Safe Rewards™ for the period from inception in June 2003 through December 31, 2006 to more than $4,600,000. The Company anticipates that additional Safe Rewards™ for this period will be distributed over the next 2 - 3 years, as well as Safe Rewards™ for the completed years 2007 and 2008 for which the Company has not yet begun to calculate results.
Comments Peter Godfrey, AquaGuardian Vice President, "Our financial results held up very well despite the very soft commercial insurance market throughout the year, and the plunge in residential pool construction that began early in 2008. We are justifiably proud of the steady growth in the number of program participants as the graph below illustrates."

He adds, "Our casualty program policies are issued by two of the top ranked U.S. companies - Great American Insurance Companies (Cincinnati, OH) and Arch Insurance Group (Stamford, CT) - and are reinsured by AquaGuardian Insurance Company, based here in Scottsdale. Our underwriting results continue to be excellent."
AquaGuardian was founded in 2003 with the backing of Aquatech Corporation (Costa Mesa, CA), which owns 95% of AquaGuardian. Aquatech had the vision and foresight to recognize the need for

comprehensive, stable and long-term cost-effective insurance programsdesigned specifically to serve the needs of qualified pool & spa builders, retailers and service companies nationwide. AquaGuardian's insurance programs include general liability, auto, workers' compensation, health, life, and retirement as well as property and inland marine coverages.
One satisfied participant says, "The AGI programs are rock solid. They serve us and the entire industry well. And Safe Rewards™ - what a great bonus!"
Greg McClelland, AquaGuardian President, concludes, "We built AquaGuardian for the pool & spa industry. We promised to deliver the lowest cost insurance and highest value over time and, so far, we have succeeded well beyond our expectations for a number of very good reasons: the quality and support of our program participants, competitive yet conservative pricing, a comprehensive safety and loss prevention program, superior claims handling and, of course, the Safe Rewards™ program."
AquaGuardian retains AIMS Insurance Program Managers, Inc., of Scottsdale (AZ) to manage the company and its programs.
